Robert "Bob" Lebeaux formed The Plastics Group in 1973 as a one-man business that focused on buying and reselling plastic scrap. Since then, TPG has gone through quite an evolution. The Plastics Group is now a state-of-the-art, ISO registered plastics company with over 70 employees and two production facilities located in Rhode Island and Georgia. For over thirty years, Bob and his company have not only grown in size, but in stature as well, in the rapidly changing plastics industry, meeting every challenge along the way.
"It's always easy to look over your shoulder to see where you came from, but we all know that what's ahead is truly significant. By surrounding myself with creative and hard working talent, together we have brought the company to higher levels at everything we do. Service is probably the over-riding theme here. We can certainly develop quality product and deliver it, but our relationships are most important to us as we move foward."
That's exactly what has happened. Customers noticed that The Plastics Group did care about their needs and would do whatever it took to provide them the services they expected. "I cannot express how loyal we have been to our customers and how loyal they have been to us in return. It is very satisfying to see our customers develop." Providing meaningful solutions is why TPG has sought ISO certification, PPAP accreditation and Tier 1 provider recognitions. Constantly evolving in an everchanging industry has created an environment of excellence from the top down.
Whether enhancing our proprietary Polifil resins for national distribution; launching a new website; or expanding our custom compounding, toll processing or recycling services, Bob and his staff are always looking at continuous process and product improvement. Bob is especially proud of the fact that TPG has earned SHARP recognition for the tenth consecutive year. This further emphasizes Bob's commitment to his employees and ultimately, to their families, for continuous on-the-job safety.
Bob is not one to speak openly about his civic side. He has for years been an ardent supporter of the Boy's and Girl's Club of Cumberland/Lincoln, the Toys for Tots program, and other local civic organizations, especially those involved with children. Professionally, Bob is a lifetime member of SPE, RIEDC, and other trade organizations. Bob does have a life outside the office that he shares with his lovely wife, Marti as well as their three childres; Seth, Heidi and Jake. Despite all of his work, civic, professional and family commitments, Bob relaxes collecting various sports memorabilia, attending sporting events, gourmet dining and surfing the net for new ideas.
